Swap Polystyrene Foam Food Containers for Enviroware Bagasse Hinged Food Boxes
For decades, EPS foam food containers have been a firm favourite for packaging takeaway foods. Now they are considered bad for the environment and are soon to be banned.
EPS foam food packaging is practical at point of use. However, the material isn't normally recycled in the UK. Most curbside recycling programs don't accept foam packaging - it is inefficient and expensive to recycle on a large scale. In landfill, EPS foam will take around 500 years to break down, and will leach chemicals into the surrounding environment.

Swap Single-use Plastic Cutlery for Enviroware Cutlery
Our recent UK wide survey concluded 53% of consumers would expect a takeaway outlet or food stall to offer cutlery with a meal. Most consumers considered it impractical to carry their own reusable cutlery with them.
UK government estimates that 2.3 billion items of plastic cutlery are used in England alone each year. If lined up, they would go around the world over 8.5 times! (gov.uk)

Swap Single-Use Plastic Plates for Enviroware Dinnerware
Disposable plates are practical for use at buffets and event catering. Rigid plastic or foam dinner plates are normally stronger than paper plates - cheap paper plates are normally thin and difficult to hold without them flexing.
Our Bagasse Plates and bowls are strong and rigid - thicker and sturdier than most paper plates. Made from natural sugarcane fibres - an annually renewable resource.
Our Bagasse dinnerware range includes many shapes and sizes, including square plates with optional lids, round plates, compartment plates, oval bowls with lids and round bowls.

Swap Single-Use Plastic Straws for Enviroware Paper Straws
Plastic drinking straws were banned in the UK in October 2020. Prior to this ban, we launched our range of Enviroware Paper Straws.
We offer 3 different lengths, short sip paper straws, regular drinking straws and jumbo drinking straws. Sold in handy card dispenser boxes or economical bulk cases.

Swap Single-Use Plastic Coffee Stirrers for Enviroware Wooden Stirrers
Plastic drinks stirrers we're banned in October 2020, the same time as plastic straws.
Our Enviroware 5.5 inch long coffee stirrers are supplied in convenient dispenser boxes (1000 stirrers per box x 10 per case). Also available, hygienically wrapped wooden stirrers sold in bulk bags (1000 stirrers per bag x 10 per case).
